      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>“Ring the bells that still can ring Forget your perfect offering There is a crack, a crack in everything That is how the light gets in” - Anthem, Leonard Cohen Along the tumultuous path of being human, we stumble along, experiencing fractures in our relationship with ourselves and others. Loss and trauma break us and can cause enormous suffering. Leonard Cohen in his song “Anthem” reaches us through his poetic lyrics to show how being broken is what it means to be living in this world. Psychotherapy can be a powerful resource to grow and care for our fractured selves and relationships. Shelley Triggs sees falling apart as the occasion when there can be the most possibility for hope. When we confront our broken self and allow ourselves to be vulnerable - that is the moment we begin to mend our life. Shelley’s therapeutic approach is to follow your lead and your clues within your personal narrative. She believes in the power of your personal story and the imagery of your dreams and symbols that live powerfully within your psyche. She is trained in depth psychology to work with dream imagery, fears, overwhelm, depression and insecurities to help you access what the poet Mary Oliver calls “your one wild and precious life.”</image:caption>

<image:caption>Being present in the body is the primary therapeutic intervention to resolve trauma and attachment failure. Space is dedicated in the current moment so the dissociated self can be in the body. There is a juggle to bridge the unconscious world to the conscious one to re-determine one’s sense of self, behavior, and quality of relationships through relational constancy between the therapist and client. Body-oriented mindfulness addresses emotions and beliefs, and creates awareness to increase a positive sense of self, improve relationships, and resolve the past.</image:caption>
